Janet Hill

I won a print of this gorgeous painting yesterday! Janet Hill is a painter from Canada who posted a contest on her blog to guess the theme of her new painting. I guessed correctly and chose this design. I love her modern yet painterly style with their soft colors and visible brush strokes. The colors and themes are all so girl-y (i.e. shoes, dresses, cakes, and kitchens!). I have been long admiring her work and can't wait to receive this print in the mail!

Loves Her: Garance Dore

Found the illustration below on Garance Dore's blog. I would love this framed in my house. In addition to her elegant drawings, she also posts a ton of really stylish street fashion photographs from around Paris and beyond.









Here are a few of handsomes she just posted from around Pitti, the menswear trade show. She said she purposely captured the men without them knowing so they appeared more relaxed. Yes please!

Inspiration

I just finally worked on some art - thanks to my best friend who is visiting for the evening. She inspired me as always. We made a collection of drawings in tones of peach and grey to put in an oversized frame above my bed. One of the drawings I did was of balloons, and this whimsical photograph reminds me of what I was going for.
