Starting to plan on a dog next year...I ask, how do I NOT need this little guy?

Inspiration

I just finally worked on some art - thanks to my best friend who is visiting for the evening. She inspired me as always. We made a collection of drawings in tones of peach and grey to put in an oversized frame above my bed. One of the drawings I did was of balloons, and this whimsical photograph reminds me of what I was going for.

Merz Apothecary

I am currently obsessed with this little apothecary in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. I stumbled upon it recently and my jaw hit the floor. This European store has been in business since 1875, and is complete with a hand-carved wooden exterior, leaded glass windows, parquet floors, tin ceilings, solid oak cabinets and the store's original antique pharmacy jars and herb containers. They carry quality natural medicines and treatments as well as luxurious European soaps and body products. Chaise Lounge

I went to the restaurant/club/bar Chaise Lounge in Chicago after work this evening. It is a lovely and decadent place in the Wicker Park neighborhood. It transports you to tropical South Beach with its ubundent outdoor seating, white upholstered tufted wall, and fresh palm plants. 

I personally loved their assortment of Spanish olives to accompany my wine! It is luxurious without being stuffy, and is (as they say on their website) 'the perfect spot to begin or end an evening'.
